If you didn't believe the claims Netflix was going to offer games as part of its subscription, think again, as it's already happening.

As Engadget reports, Netflix has confirmed that two game tests are currently being carried out, but only a select few Android users can access them in Poland. The two games in question are Stranger Things 1984 and Stranger Things 3. Netflix offers the games from within its main app on Android, but tapping to install them loads the Google Play Store so they download like a normal app.

In a statement, Netflix explained, "It’s still very, very early days and we will be working hard to deliver the best possible experience in the months ahead with our no ads, no in-app purchases approach to gaming."

By not going down the route of streaming games to devices, Netflix avoids having to set aside the extra resources required to run such a service. Instead, it can offer the games through Google Play and then limit access to them in another way, for example, requiring Netflix login details be entered in the game. This also means releasing the games on iOS should be easy as Netflix will be able to use Apple's standard review procedure without any of the problems game streaming service have faced.
