Gamers are desperate to finally get their hands on Cyberpunk 2077 next week, but developer CD Projekt Red has issued a warning for anyone receiving their copy early: don't stream it.

In a tweet on the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account (included below), CD Projekt Red requests that nobody decides to stream the game before 12pm CET/3am PST on Dec. 9. Doing so will result in the developer sending MAX-TAC, "you know, the guys who take down videos" after you, which could end badly for the status and reputation of the account used.

It's a valid request, but not one that's going to be received well by everyone. Remember, when the game got delayed for a third time back in October, there were death threats against the developer. So I can only imagine what the responses to threatening consequences for streaming early will be.

On the plus side, though, after we pass the launch time, CD Projekt Red "would love if you'd streamed everything like there's no tomorrow." And I have no doubt Cyberpunk 2077 will end up being one of the most streamed games in December and well into 2021.
