If you're struggling to find something to do for yet another weekend of being told to stay at home, Ubisoft may have the answer.

Right now, and until 1pm PT on Sunday, Far Cry 5 is free to play on PC through the publisher's Uplay service/store. Most gamers won't be able to experience the whole of the game in such a short space of time, but your progress will be saved in case you decide to buy it. And as encouragement to do so, Ubisoft knocked 75 percent off the price, meaning you can pick up the Standard edition for $15 instead of $59.99.

Other editions are available offered as Gold, Complete, and Ultimate editions. Gold gets your the Season Pass and Deluxe Pack (Zombies, Viet Cong soldiers, Martians DLC, Ace Pilot Pack, and Big Game Hunter Pack), where as Complete gets you the Far Cry New Dawn Deluxe Edition (Knight Pack, Hurk Legacy Pack, Retro SCI-FI M133M Skin, RAT4 Rocket Launcher). Ultimate gets you all the content offered in both Gold and Complete editions. All versions are on sale, with Gold costing $22.50, Complete is $30, and Ultimate is the most expensive, but still only $39 compared to its launch price of $129.99.

All other Far Cry games are on sale in Ubisoft's store, with Far Cry and Far Cry 2 available for just $4 each. Even Far Cry 4 is only $12 during the sale. If you're only interested in the free Far Cry 5 weekend, though, you'll need to create a Ubisoft account and login to access the download.
