Jawbone UP Review

Jawbone UP is a fitness tracking device that's worn on the wrist. It tracks how much activity you get in a day, as well as how much sleep you get.

Jawbone UP comes in eight colors: orange, mint green, hunter green, blue, onyx, red, navy blue, and light gray.

To see the data Jawbone UP collects, you have to sync it using an iPhone or Android device by connecting the UP via the headphone jack.

Once Jawbone has collected your data and synced it to your smartphone, you can see readouts of the informaiton in various graphs and charts, like this one showing how much activity occured for a time period on a specific day.

You can also scroll through a display of data day-by-day, which also shows whether and when you've hit your goal (such as a targeted number of steps to take) for that day.

Because Jawbone UP can also track your sleep, it reports information such as total hours and minutes of deep sleep versus light sleep over a night.

The Jawbone UP app can show you custom reports based on metrics you choose. It can only display two data sets at a time, but you can change them on the fly.

The Jawbone UP app has an area where you can record workouts, to help you record additional information about your day that might explain bursts of activity on your graphs.

Jawbone UP contains a silent alarm feature that you can use to wake you after a night's sleep or after a power nap. You have to set a time that you want to wake up, but if Jawbone detects a better moment in your sleep cycle to wake up, up to 30 minutes before you alarm time, it will vibrate to alert you then.

Jawbone UP is made of medical-grade, hypoallergenic TPU rubber.
