Pros & Cons

Kodak Easyshare DX3700 Specs

Media Format: CompactFlash
Megapixels: 3 MP

The Kodak EasyShare DX3700 ($240 street) is currently the easiest-to-operate 3-megapixel digital camera on the market. It doesn't come equipped with a zoom lens or even auto-focus, but it does have a built-in flash, 8MB of built-in memory (and can accommodate optional CompactFlash), a video-out port, and a superb image sensor capable of producing excellent 8- by 10-inch enlargements.

There's more good news: the DX3700 comes with Kodak's EasyShare system. Place the DX3700 on top of the optional camera dock ($79 list) to make uploading images to your computer or the Web an absolute one-button no-brainer. The EasyShare system enables even a greenhorn point-and-shooter to learn how to capture, edit, and output great pictures in minutes.

Although the Kodak Easyshare DX3700 lacks some desirable features (such as the ability to record motion), the camera's high pixel count, great image quality, and low-hassle approach validates the price.
