Google Keep

Google Keep is a note-taking and syncing app for Web and mobile devices. Shown is the interface for the Web app.

As a Google product, Keep works closely with other Google apps. For example, you can easily copy a note from Keep to Google Docs.

Google Keep also works in tandem with Google Reminders, which in turn sync with Google Calendar.

Instead of tags, Google Keep uses labels, which work similarly to labels in Gmail but are functionally the same as tags.

Google Keep has a plugin that lets you save content from the Web with one click. Unfortunately, Google Keep only saves the URL and none of the content on the page (which you'll have to copy and paste to save).

One neat detail in Google Keep's settings is the ability to create a default meaning for terms like morning, afternoon, and evening, useful when adding reminders.

When searching for keywords in Google Keep, results are highlighted.

The search function has more options for a refined search.
