The $119.99 (direct) Sony DPF-D70 7-inch Digital Photo Frame doesn't offer a touch screen, video playback, HDMI out, Bluetooth, apps like Facebook or Twitter, or even Wi-Fi connectivity. But the one thing this elegant frame does—display digital photos—it does very well. The frame sports a sleek minimalist design and a simple menu structure—after all, there's no need for complicated sub-menus for configuring Wi-Fi or logging in to your Pandora account. Other frames may offer more features for the same price, but few are as hassle-free.

The last 7-inch Sony digital photo frame we reviewed, the Editor's Choice VAIO Wi-Fi Photo Frame (VGF-CP1) is loaded with features. Since it integrates Wi-Fi, you can browse the Web on the pre-installed Opera Web browser, download your photos from Picasa to the frame, and subscribe to RSS feeds—it's incredibly capable, but at nearly $300, it's also far-more expensive than the budget-friendly D70.

The 5.5-by-8.0-by-1.2 inch (HWD) D70 is almost identical to last year's 9-inch DPF-V900.
