The Acer Veriton VZ2660G-i34130X ($779.99 as tested) puts an affordable business desktop into a simple all-in-one design. This business system is a good choice for basic office work, and offers the convenience of a touch screen as well as the broad compatibility of Windows 7.

Design and Features
The Veriton VZ2660G-i34130X has a blocky look with black, plastic construction and squared-off corners. The all-in-one chassis places the system's 19.5-inch display front and center. The screen has a 1,600-by-900 resolution, which offers enough detail to let you multitask with side-by-side windows open. Its touch functionality is nice, but is underutilized since Windows 7 is installed. If you want more touch optimization, you can restore to Windows 8, since the desktop gets Windows 7 through Windows 8 Pro downgrade rights. An anti-glare finish keeps the glass-covered display from being too reflective. Above the display is an integrated webcam, which neatly rotates through three positions: front-facing, closed, and rear-facing.

An adjustable easel stand lets youAcer Veriton VZ2660G-i34130X
change the angle of the display, but there's nothing to help with the height. The easel stand hinge also has a handle built in, making it a lot more convenient to move the system. Measuring 19.3 by 13 by 2.4 inches (HWD), the all-in-one shouldn't take up too much room on your desk.

On the left side, you'll find a tray-loading optical drive (DVD-RAM/±R/±RW dual-layer), along with an SD Card slot, one USB 3.0 port, and jacks for headphones and a mic. The rest of the ports are located on the back of the system, where you will find three more USB ports (one USB 3.0, two USB 2.0), a Gigabit Ethernet port, and a VGA port for connecting a second monitor. Those two USB 2.0 ports will likely be filled by the included wired keyboard and mouse.

My Experience

From the laptops on your desk to satellites in space and AI that seems to be everywhere, I cover many topics at PCMag. I've covered PCs and technology products for over 15 years at PCMag and other publications, among them Tom's Guide, Laptop Mag, and TWICE. As a hardware reviewer, I've handled dozens of MacBooks, 2-in-1 laptops, Chromebooks, and the latest AI PCs. As the resident Starlink expert, I've done years of hands-on testing with the satellite service. I also explore the most valuable ways to use the latest AI tools and features in our Try AI column.

The Technology I Use

Between the Starlink dish on my roof and the laptop or desktop I'm using right now, I've always got a new tech product in front of me. I have five or six laptops in rotation at any moment, along with a couple of mini PCs, two smart TVs, and a couple of Chromebooks for good measure.

Everything is connected via Starlink, using the latest Dish V4 and Gen 3 Router, letting me live my tech-centric life in rural Idaho.

When I'm not testing and reviewing products, I'm probably using one of a dozen AI tools for everything from work and productivity to entertainment and saving some money.
