Lenovo's Yoga line calls to mind visions of convertible laptops and distinctive tablets, but for several years, the Yoga family has included one of the best all-in-one Windows desktops around. The new model, seen at CES 2023, is a new animal altogether, though: It skips the rotating display seen on past versions of the AIO, while revamping the desktop with an elegant, minimalistic design that still has plenty of clever features.

An AIO Inspired by Architecture

The Yoga AIO 9i Desktop draws inspiration from modern architecture, raising the 31.5-inch display above the component-filled base with an arcing metallic stand that looks like a cross between a polished paperclip and a hunk of modern art that ought to be positioned on a civic plaza somewhere.

Plus, it's not just for looks; the stand offers adjustable tilt, so that the big panel is always at a comfortable angle. While it may look luxurious, it's also made of 75% recycled aluminum, with 65% post-consumer recycled ABS plastic throughout the desktop chassis.

A Gorgeous Screen With Guts Behind It

The display is just as impressive, with a borderless-on-three-sides design using a slim, 4K-resolution panel that's a striking departure from the bulky AIO designs of years past. The large IPS screen features 100% sRGB color-gamut coverage, and it has an HDR600 rating, so you'll get plenty of brightness and images that pop off the screen. The accompanying four-speaker Harman Kardon sound system is equally premium, backed by support for Dolby Atmos spatial audio.

Secreted in the base is an Intel 13th Generation ("Raptor Lake") processor, with both Core i7 and Core i9 CPU options. A next-gen Nvidia GeForce GPU handles the visuals, while up to 32GB of memory and as much as 1TB of storage round out the speedy performance.

Additional Features and Release Details

On the Yoga AIO 9i's base are a host of ports, including USB Type-C for charging and connecting other devices, an HDMI output for adding another monitor, and a built-in Qi-compatible wireless charger in the surface of the round base...

For added convenience and security, the all-in-one also features a 5-megapixel IR camera. It supports Windows Hello facial login, and a built-in electric shutter to ensure your privacy when you don't want to be on camera.

Lenovo Yoga AIO 9i

The 32-inch Lenovo Yoga AIO 9i Desktop will start at $1,799.99 when it begins selling this fall. Given the humdrum state of the AIO desktop market these days, we're itching to check it out when it comes available for review.

My Experience

From the laptops on your desk to satellites in space and AI that seems to be everywhere, I cover many topics at PCMag. I've covered PCs and technology products for over 15 years at PCMag and other publications, among them Tom's Guide, Laptop Mag, and TWICE. As a hardware reviewer, I've handled dozens of MacBooks, 2-in-1 laptops, Chromebooks, and the latest AI PCs. As the resident Starlink expert, I've done years of hands-on testing with the satellite service. I also explore the most valuable ways to use the latest AI tools and features in our Try AI column.

The Technology I Use

Between the Starlink dish on my roof and the laptop or desktop I'm using right now, I've always got a new tech product in front of me. I have five or six laptops in rotation at any moment, along with a couple of mini PCs, two smart TVs, and a couple of Chromebooks for good measure.

Everything is connected via Starlink, using the latest Dish V4 and Gen 3 Router, letting me live my tech-centric life in rural Idaho.

When I'm not testing and reviewing products, I'm probably using one of a dozen AI tools for everything from work and productivity to entertainment and saving some money.
