With auto sales hitting record highs, the car industry is back, and so is the biggest auto show in the U.S. The North American International Auto Show, aka the Detroit Auto Show, is not only the domestic Big Three's chance to welcome the world to its home turf and show that the city is still the U.S. car capital, but it's also a grand stage for global automakers to trot out their latest concepts and debuts for the crucial American market.
Chevrolet, for example, introduced the Bolt EV concept—a long-range, all-electric vehicle designed with a 200-plus-mile range and a starting price tag of $30,000. It also showed off the 2016 Chevrolet Volt, which will travel for 50 miles before switching over to its gas-powered range extender, up from just 38 miles with the original Volt. The overall range of the Volt, meanwhile, is increasing to 420 miles, compared to 350 miles with the original Volt.
We've seen some awesome new cars and concepts at the Detroit Auto Show over the years, but check out the slideshow for the top 20 new cars we spotted on the show floor in 2015.
