Nikkon on Monday unveiled commemorative editions of its cameras, lenses, and binoculars to celebrate its 100th anniversary—the company was founded as Nippon Kogaku K.K. on July 25, 1917.

The collection includes editions of two SLR digital cameras, three binoculars, and assorted lenses. There are also some non-working models of iconic Nikon products, including a Swarovski crystal reproduction of the Nikon Model I and a 1/2 scale model of the Nikon F.

The anniversary edition of the Nikon D5, a flagship FX-format SLR that photographers have used to document everything from sporting events to space exploration, comes in a dark grey metallic finish. It includes a stamp on the bottom and a commemorative booklet explaining Nikon's role in outer space research.

Nikon is also offering its D500 DX-format flagship in an anniversary edition, which includes a metal case engraved with a commemorative logo and serial number.

Those looking for special-edition lenses can chose from the Nikkor 70-200E telephoto zoom, which comes with an additional set of the individual glass elements that make up the lense's internal workings, or the Triple F2.8 zoom, a set of three f/2.8 maximum aperture zoom lenses engraved with serial numbers.

Rounding out the 100th anniversary product lineup are the WX 7×50 IF and WX 10×50 IF wide-view binoculars and the 8×30 E II conventional binocular, all with commemorative logos and serial numbers.

For those Nikon fans who aren't in the market for new functional gear, in addition to the Swarovski crystal Nikon Model I and the 1/2 scale model Nikon F, the company is also offering an anniversary pin collection and leather camera strap.

All of these products won't go on sale until July so as to be available just in time for the true 100th anniversary celebration (and most likely sold out pretty quickly).
