Edge's default home and new-tab page shows top site buttons along with weather, sports, news, and stock prices that you can personalize to taste..

Edge can read webpages aloud using text-to-speech technology.

You can get on-page help from Cortana by highlighting text and right-clicking. This saves you from having to open a new browser tab, fire up a search engine, and cut and paste.

Edge now does double duty as Windows' ebook reader and PDF viewer.

If your browser gets cluttered with too many tabs, a button click hides them off to the side for later access.

Thumbnails for each site tab appear at the press of a drop-down arrow.

You can pin a site to a small tab on the left. You can also pin a tab to the Start menu or the Taskbar.

A highlighted feature of Edge is its Annotations, which let you mark up and share pages easily.

The Share panel is now front and center.

The Edge web browser supports extensions, which you get from the Windows Store. Popular choices like password managers and ad blocking are available, but you don't get thousands of choices as you do with Firefox.

Extensions appear at the top of the overflow menu after installation, as is the case with Pocket here. You can, however, set them to appear in the top menu bar, as with the AdGuard and LastPass extensions.
