Apple might be best-known for its hardware products—iPhone, Macs, iPad—but it's developed a robust line of services in recent years, from Apple Music to Apple TV+.

Those are standalone services, however, and come with their own price tags. Until now. Alongside the launch of its new Apple Watch Series 6 and updated iPads, Apple today also unveiled Apple One, which combines the company's top subscription services into one package.

This fall, Apple One will offer three pricing tiers:

  • Individual with Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and 50GB of iCloud storage for $14.95 per month.

  • Family with Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and 200GB of iCloud storage for $19.95 per month and shareable with up to six family members.

  • Premier with Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+, Apple Fitness+, and 2TB of iCloud storage for $29.95 per month, shareable with up to six family members. (Initially just in Australia, Canada, the UK, and the US.)

Apple Fitness+ is a new addition to the company's services lineup. Arriving by the end of the year, Fitness+ connects Apple users with on-demand workouts (yoga, cycling, dance, treadmill walk/run, strength, core, hiit, rowing, mindful cooldowns) from trainers hired by Apple. On its own, Fitness+ will be $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year. Those who buy a new Apple Watch get it free for three months.

Apple says an individual plan can save you $6 per month, the Family plan offers savings of $8 per month, and Premier will save you $25 per month. Get a 30-day free trial for any services you don't already have.

My Experience

I started out covering tech policy in DC for The National Journal, where my beat included state-level tech news and all the congressional hearings and FCC meetings I could handle. I later covered Wall Street trading tech before switching gears to consumer tech. I now lead PCMag's news coverage.

My Areas of Expertise

Getting my start in DC means I still have a soft spot for tech policy; Congressional hearings can sometimes be as entertaining as a Bravo reality show, for better or worse. But PCMag is all about the technology we use every day, as well as keeping an eye out for the trends that will shape the industry in the years ahead (or flop on arrival). I've covered the rise of social media, the iOS vs. Android wars, the cord-cutting revolution that's now left us with hefty streaming bills, and the effort to stuff artificial intelligence into every product you could imagine. This job has taken me to CES in Vegas (one too many times), IFA in Berlin, and MWC in Barcelona. I also drove a Tesla 1,000 miles out west as part of our Best Mobile Networks project. Of late, my focus is on our hard-working team of reporters at PCMag, guiding and editing their robust coverage.
