Good things come in small packages — like Pressy, a new Kickstarter project that more than quintupled its $40,000 goal in two days.

Dubbed "the almighty Android button," the miniscule device plugs into any Android smartphone's headphone jack and sends unique signals to a connected application.

Tap the button to instantly take a photo, turn on your flashlight, send your current location, start the voice recorder, check into a social network, and much more. Built for easy personalization, each user can set his or her Pressy to execute different actions for different sequences of clicks.

For example, you could configure the button so that two short clicks will call your mom, while two long taps means hands-free dialing to your dad.

Pressy also comes with an API, so third-party developers can integrate added functions and features.

The teeny toggle has already amassed 9,000-plus backers and more than $213,000 since the project launched on Wednesday. An early special — $15 for one black Pressy button and free access to its accompanying app — already sold out to the first 300 supporters.

The presumed $17 retail price offers the same basic bundle, which has been snatched up by 2,160 people so far. For $20, meanwhile, you can pick from the Pressy color collection, available in white, red, or blue.

Throw $45 into the bucket for a gold-coated Pressy (to match your golden iPhone 5S?).

"We really hope this isn't a dream, as it seems that we reached our fund goal in less than 24 hours — and all thanks to you!" the team wrote in a Thursday update.

Creators Nimrod Back and Boaz Mendel have been working for the past four months on designing and building Pressy prototypes, and said they would begin production after reaching their $40,000 goal. The devices are expected for delivery in March.
