As you identify question of interest, you can choose to follow them in order to see answers that roll in. Any question you pose, you automatically follow.

Here is the question I submitted. I included a description as well, to clarify the question. Within ten minutes I had my first answer.

New notifications appear based on questions that you are following. These can be questions you've commented upon, answered, posted, or chosen to follow.

I included a photo, title, and job description with my profile. These credentials make it easier for you to size up the answers received to questions. There is also a Twitter-like option to post messages to followers.

You can share you answers via Twitter and Facebook. Quora integrates well with both social media platforms.

Include topics when posting a question. The more people who follow the topics assigned, the more people will see your question.

Questions without topics are called Unorganized Questions. I found that other users quickly tag questions on Quora. On the other hand, I accidently mistagged a question and the tag was removed within seconds.

You can tie Quora to your Facebook, Twitter, and blogging accounts. This will enable you to share questions and answers through other platforms or find existing friends on Quora.

Your feed populates with topics about which you express an interest. This is why question tagging is so important.
