The first 4K UHD Insignia Roku TV sets are available now to purchase online at BestBuy.com, and will arrive at brick-and-mortar Best Buy stores early next month.

An upgrade from last year's HD Insignias, the new televisions come in 43-inch ($399.99), 50-inch ($499.99), and 55-inch ($649.99) screen sizes, each with a quad-core processor and 802.11ac dual-band Wi-Fi.

They provide access to the 4K Spotlight Channel and the Roku Feed, which notifies the user when their favorite shows and movies are available to stream.

Unlike with other TVs—smart or not—users don't have to cycle through inputs to find what they need. Access to Roku apps, game consoles, the cable box, or Blu-ray players are on the same screen.

Each set comes with a remote, but the Insignia TVs can also be controlled with the iOS or Android Roku apps, which offers quick access to the Roku Feed, Play On Roku, and voice search.

"These new TVs combine excellent picture quality and resolution with an easy-to-use smart TV experience that is truly unique to Roku TV—all at an affordable price," Chas Smith, senior vice president and general manager of Roku TV and Players, said in a statement.

If you want to watch the latest viral video or keep up with Orange Is the New Black, just cast content from the YouTube and Netflix apps directly to the TV.

The 4K UHD Insignia Roku TVs are also available in 43-inch and 50-inch sizes at Best Buy stores in Canada and on BestBuy.ca.

LG, meanwhile, today announced pricing and availability for its own 2016 Super UHD TV series—the company's lineup of LED-backlit LCD 4K UHD TVs. Beginning later this month, 55-inch, 60-inch, and 65-inch models from the UH8500 and UH7700 series will go on sale; additional versions, including a 85-inch TV from the UH8500 series and the UH9500 series 86-inch and 65-inch models will hit shelves later this spring.

Prices vary, from $1,799 (55-inch UH7700) to $9,999 (86-inch UH9500). The entire family runs LG's webOS Smart TV platform version 3.0, with new features that make finding and switching between broadcast TV, streaming services, and external devices easier.
