Evernote (web)

Evernote is a note-taking and syncing application with a wide variety of apps, including a web app, shown here.

Evernote's interface lets you see a list of notes on the left and your selected note content in the center. Notes can contain text, audio files, handwritten material, photographs, attached documents, and more.

Tags help Evernote users organize and find their notes.

Evernote has an excellent search tool. With a Premium account, it will search attached documents and PDFs for text. With any level of account, it will also look for text in images.

Here you can see a search result for the word "chocolate" appearing in a photo of a menu.

Evernote also searches handwriting that appears in photographs.

Evernote members can see a history of when someone signed into their account and the location.

An optional features for Premium Evernote members is Context Sources, which looks for keywords in your current note and matches them to keywords in other notes you have and other content on the web. In the settings page shown here, you can adjust the sources for those related articles.

Evernote's Web Clipper is a browser plugin that easily saves all or a portion of a web page to your Evernote account as a new note.

Evernote Reminders lets you add a notification to any note in case it's something you need to be reminded to visit.
