The Galaxy Note 5 packs incredible processing power and puts it behind the best display you can get. But this iteration of Samsung's top phablet comes with compromises.

Display

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has a 5.7-inch, 2560-by-1440-pixel screen.

Back

The Galaxy Note 5's back is now solid metal and glass, rather than removable plastic.

Camera

The 16-megapixel camera on the back of the Galaxy Note 5 has improved low-light performance.

Bezel

The metal bezel of the Galaxy Note 5 has become smoother and more curved than the Note 4's side was, making it easier to hold.

Buttons

The volume buttons are on the right side of the Galaxy Note 5.

Ports

The main speaker has moved to the bottom of the Galaxy Note 5, along with a now-standard USB 2 port.

SIM

That's a SIM card slot on the top of the Galaxy Note 5, not a microSD card slot.

S Pen

The new S Pen pops out with a click.

S Pen

The S Pen feels a bit more premium than the last iteration did.
