Dragon NaturallySpeaking 12 premium, while not priced as an impulse buy, is easily one of the best software applications you'll find for dictation and voice command. Previous Dragon users with version 10 or 11 will not likely be swayed to upgrade due to the high cost.

Dragon NaturallySpeaking 12 Premium has a new built-in tutorial that's offered after initial set up, which I highly recommend to new users.

The interface for the dictation and voice command software is a gray bar that sits across the top of the screen, or in another location if you customize it. There's an optional sidebar that can take over a portion of the right side of the screen as well.

Dictating is extremely intuitive, although figuring out how to use voice commands for editing takes a little practice. More difficult is learning to use Dragon NaturallySpeaking to navigate the Windows OS, use an Internet browser, or otherwise work with more complex commands.
