The Top 10 Best Buy Black Friday Deals

Are you ready for Black Friday? It's the most wonderful time of the year, so make sure you carbo-load at Thanksgiving dinner and practice your elbow punches. Your neighbor is not wrestling that HDTV away from you again this year.

Among the retailers ready to take your cash is Best Buy, which has literally been having drills to prepare for the onslaught of customers this week. More than 1,000 Best Buy stores in 47 states (Maine, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island have laws against it) will open at 5 p.m. local time on Thanksgiving Day and remain open until 1 a.m. on Black Friday. They will then re-open at 8 a.m. and close at 10 p.m.

Best Buy will have two rounds of doorbuster sales: at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving and 8 a.m. on Black Friday, when early birds get a chance to snag products that are in short supply. You can peruse the entire circular here, but check out the slideshow for our top picks.

Apple iPad mini 3

On Black Friday, save $75 on all versions of the new iPad mini 3. One of Best Buy's Thanksgiving Day doorbusters, meanwhile, will be $100 off all versions of the iPad Air 2.

Amazon Kindle

If you're in the market for an e-reader, the basic Kindle will be $49.99, down from $79. The 8GB Kindle Fire HD 6, meanwhile, will be $79 (down from $99). Best Buy promised discounts on all Fire tablets and Kindle e-readers, except the Kindle Fire 6 Kids Edition and the Kindle Voyage.

LG G3 and Galaxy S5

Need a smartphone? If you're on AT&T, Sprint, or Verizon and ready to re-up your contract, you can get an LG G3 for just $1.

If you don't want a contract, the Nokia Lumia 635 will be $39.99 (down from $70), while the LG Realm for Boost will be among the Thursday doorbusters for just $19.99 (down from $40).

Apple iPhone 6

On iOS, get the 16GB iPhone 6 for $99 with a two-year contract. Plus, get a minimum $100 Best Buy gift card when trading in any working iPhone.

Amazon Fire TV

The Amazon Fire TV set-top box will get a $25 discount to $75. For more, check out PCMag's review.

Fitness Trackers

Best Buy will have several options for the fitness-minded shopper. Get the Fitbit Charge for $99 (down from $130), the Samsung Gear Fit for $99 (down from $149), the UP24 by Jawbone for $79.99 (down from $130), or the Misfit Flash for $25.99 (down from $50).

Samsung 4K HDTV

If you're dazzled by Ultra HD, a 55-Inch Samsung LED 4K Smart TV will be among the doorbusters, selling for just $899 (down from $1,299).

Apple MacBook Air

Starting at 8 a.m. on Friday, an 11.6-inch MacBook Air will be $779.99 (down from $855). Other Mac deals include:

13.3-inch MacBook Air for $1,049 (usually $1,139)
13.3-inch MacBook Pro for $1,349 (usually $1,424.99)
27-inch iMac for $1,649.99 (usually $1,799.99)

Acer Chromebook

An 11.6-inch, 1,366-by-768 Acer Chromebook running a 2.16GHz dual-core Intel Celeron processor will be $149.99 (down from $199). For more, see PCMag's roundup of the Best Chromebooks.

Microsoft Surface 2

The older, less powerful Microsoft Surface 2 will be on sale for $299.99 (down from $450). The Surface 2 runs the less full-featured Windows RT, but for $299.99 (32GB version), it might do the trick if you need a Windows tablet.

Best Buy also said those who buy the Surface Pro 3 128GB or larger can expect savings between $100 and $150.
