Hands On With the Google Nexus 6

The Nexus 6 is a huge new smartphone from Google. It's literally huge, bigger than the iPhone 6 Plus.

The SIM card slot and headphone jack are on the top of the Nexus 6.

There's a MicroUSB port on the bottom of the Nexus 6.

The Nexus 6 is large, but very slim. The volume buttons are on the right side.

The Nexus 6 is the first phone to run Android 5.0 "Lollipop," which has redesigned icons.

Having a 6-inch, 2,560-by-1,440 screen comes in handy in apps like Google Maps.

Google redesigned its keyboard in Android Lollipop. I'm a little concerned about that space bar.

The Nexus 6 has a 13-megapixel Motorola camera, but it has special Google software tricks like enhanced HDR.

The Gmail app in Lollipop is more spacious, with bold swathes of color.

The Nexus 6 will light up and show you notifications if you just reach towards the phone.

The Sunspider Javascript benchmark didn't show terrific results, butthe browser probably still needs to be tuned.

You can reply to notifications from any other activity you're in the middle of.

From the back, the Nexus 6 looks a lot like a larger Moto X.
