Hello Moto
The Moto X is made at a former Nokia plant in Fort Worth, Texas.
Get on the Floor
Over 2,000 workers were hired to work on the Moto X.
Room to Grow
Just about half of the 480,000-square-foot facility is in use.
More Than the Sum of Its Parts
Suppliers ship the Moto X's components to the factory for the final 17 percent of its build.
Wish Fulfillment
Motorola and AT&T systems work seamlessly together to process customer orders directly to the floor.
Color Guard
Woodside chided Perry for being an iPhone owner or, as he put it, "one of the 20 percent" and then handed him a Moto X in Texas A&M's colors.
Three of a Kind
Motorola CEO Dennis Woodside, Google executive chairman Eric Schmidt, and Texas Governor Rick Perry. Schmidt said: "Google is a place where we take bets. This is a bet we're taking on America, on Texas, on this incredible workforce that's assembled here." Perry answered: "Eric, thank you for taking the bet. We will cover it and raise you 2,500 jobs."
I Wanna Be a Maverick
Dallas Mavericks owner and all-around tech guy Mark Cuban took a factory tour with Perry and Schmidt.
