Send. 2.0 ensures that your email messages won't be exposed to hackers or snoops. It's easy to use, and it's free.

Send. 2.0 : Send Secure Mail Now

The Send Technology home page is dominated by a big form that lets any visitor immediately start sending secure e-mail messages at no charge.

Send. 2.0 : New Account

If the e-mail address you enter isn't associated with an existing account, the site automatically invites you to set up a new free account.

Send. 2.0 : Account Security

To ensure that nobody else can create an account in your name, the setup process requires an activation code that's sent directly to the e-mail address associated with the account.

Send. 2.0 : Send a Message

Back at the main page you simply enter recipient names, subject, and message content just as you would in any Web-based e-mail system. You can also attach up to 10 MB of files to the message.

Send. 2.0 : Optional Signature

You can define a signature that will appear at the end of all your encrypted messages.

Send. 2.0 : Address Book

Each person you send encrypted mail to automatically gets recorded in the online Address book. You can also import addresses from Outlook or Gmail.

Send. 2.0 : Message Received

The recipient of your encrypted message just gets this notification. The decryption key is embedded in the link that opens the message online, and isn't stored anywhere else.

Send. 2.0 : Must Sign Up

A Send account is necessary in order to view the encrypted e-mail message. If your recipient doesn't already have one the site will prompt to create a new account for free.

Send. 2.0 : View Online

Send displays the now-decrypted message in the browser, with links to download any attachments.

Send. 2.0 : Outlook Add-In

Outlook users can install a free add-in that automates the process of sending and receiving encrypted messages. A toolbar button offers access to settings.

Send. 2.0 : Send in Outlook

To send a message using Send's secure encryption system, all you do is click the add-in's "Send. Secure" button rather than Outlook's own Send button.

Send. 2.0 : Automatic Decryption

You must supply your Send password once per Outlook session. After that, any encrypted messages you receive are automatically decrypted in place by the add-in.
