Good news, Nexus One owners. Your handset will soon be updated with the latest version of Google's open Android OS.

A notification should soon be popping up in your phone's notification bar, prompting you to download Android 2.2 (also known as Froyo, a codename that's more or less stuck with the operating system).

According to Google's official Nexus One blog, the update will be rolling out to all Nexus Ones by the end of the week. Android 2.2 contains, among other features, the long-awaited addition of Adobe Flash to the operating system.
