Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey today confirmed rumors that four top executives are leaving the company.

"Given the inaccurate press rumors today regarding their departures, I'm addressing this now," Dorsey wrote in a Monday tweet.

"I'm sad to announce that Alex Roetter, Skip Schipper, Katie Stanton, and Kevin Weil have chosen to leave the company," he said.

Rotter and Weil, senior vice presidents of engineering and product, respectively, have been with the company for more than five years, as has Stanton, who helped build Twitter's global team.

"While Skip's tenure has been shorter, he too has played a key role scaling our HR and recruiting functions globally," Dorsey wrote.

All four execs will be taking "some well-deserved time off," the company chief said; there is no word on what each has planned beyond "family time."
