Most people can't stretch their birthday festivities beyond two days. Nintendo is taking a full 365 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its Pokemon franchise.

Nintendo on Feb. 27 will release Pokemon Red Version, Blue Version, and Yellow Version digital downloads for 3DS devices.

A special Pokemon 20th Anniversary 3DS bundle arrives at the same time with Pokemon Red Version and Blue Version pre-installed, two cover plates featuring artwork from the original boxes, and the 20th anniversary logo, as well as a download code for an exclusive Home Menu theme.

Nintendo will also re-launch some of its best-selling Pokemon amiibo—Charizard, Jigglypuff, Greninja, Lucario, Pikachu. And look out for Pokken Tournament for Wii U, in which characters battle in direct response to the player's actions, as well as the Pokemon GO mobile game.

Visit Pokemon.com/20 throughout the year to find more information about monthly Mythical Pokemon character distributions, retail events, special products, messages from some of Pokemon's biggest fans, and the upcoming Pokemon Photo Booth app.

U.S. fans are encouraged to share their favorite Pokemon memories on social media using the hashtag #Pokemon20. And keep an eye out for more surprises throughout the year, starting on Feb. 7 with a new Pokemon ad, set to air during Super Bowl 50.

Last month, Nintendo started accepting pre-orders for four Pokémon-themed 2DS consoles, but only in Japan.
