Pebble wants to help you get moving.

Those who download the new version of the Pebble Time app on Android and iOS will find a new feature called Pebble Health. It tracks daily activity and sleep but also provides fitness advice and goals.

"Since you are your best motivator, Pebble Health focuses on personal success," the company wrote in a blog post. "Instead of striving for an arbitrary step count, your daily progress is measured against your own personal average. At night, Pebble Health tracks how long and well you sleep, helping you make better sleep decisions. Weekly graphs of both step and sleep stats make it easy to see trends over time."

Pebble Health was developed with researchers at Stanford University's Wearable Health lab. It also integrates with Google Fit and Apple's HealthKit, to feed those services a bit more information about a person's daily activity.

Health-tracking is available only on Pebble Time, Pebble Time Round, and Pebble Time Steel running Firmware 3.8 and above. Those with older Pebble devices can get some health-tracking features through third-party applications, like Misfit and Jawbone.

The Pebble Time and the Steel version first emerged earlier this year in a hugely successful Kickstarter campaign that raised over $20 million for the new device, which includes a color e-paper display and built-in microphone. This fall, the company added the circular Pebble Time Round to its lineup.
