Snapchat has a new Travel Mode to help you save mobile data.

Enable the setting to load snaps and stories only when tapped; previously, content would load automatically when the app was opened.

To activate, click the Snapchat icon at the top of the camera, then navigate through Settings to Manage Additional Services, and toggle on "Travel Mode."

As TechCrunch pointed out, the name can be misleading: Likely a nod to avoiding roaming charges while out of the country, Travel Mode will also come in handy for teens who are snapping and chatting at home on a small data plan.

Why not express your joy over saving [your parents'] money with emojis? Snapchat's update comes with a new emoji button (a Post-It Note-looking icon at the top of the screen), which lets you add as many emojis as you can fit in one photo. Drag and resize them to build a work of art out of your selfies.
