Mark Zuckerberg's language tutor should get a raise: The Facebook CEO this week posted a video wishing everyone a happy Lunar New Year—in Mandarin.

The 30-second clip features Zuckerberg in his uniform grey T-shirt, speaking in front of hanging lanterns with the Chinese character for "fortune."

"This is a moment of renewal and celebration each year," Zuckerberg wrote in an accompanying message. "I hope you have a wonderful time surrounded by friends and family, and I hope that the Year of the Sheep brings you health and happiness."

The video was not translated, but according to CNN Money, the social media chief said the Facebook offices is celebrating with "lion dance performances and traditional Chinese food."

In Chinese astrology, each year is associated with an animal sign, though 2015 remains up for debate: Does the zodiac symbol "yang" mean the year of the goat, sheep, or ram? According to NPR, all three are correct, but differ depending on where in Asia you go.

Zuckerberg is sticking with the sheep—earning more than 3,277,450 views, 167,430 likes, and 29,500 shares since posting the video at 2 a.m. Eastern on Thursday.

This, of course, isn't the Facebook creator's first stab at wowing people with his language skills. Zuck spoke Mandarin for 30 minutes to an auditorium full of native speakers during an interview at Beijing's Tsinghua University School of Economics in October.

He even inspired philanthropist Bill Gates, who admitted during a recent Reddit AMA session that he feels "pretty stupid that I don't know any foreign languages." Passing high school Greek wasn't quite enough for him; "I wish I knew French or Arabic or Chinese," Gates said in January, calling Zuckerberg's mastery of Mandarin "incredible."

Thirty-year-old Zuckerberg is often on top of current affairs, this week stepping into the vaccine debate with the next title in his A Year of Books challenge: On Immunity by Eula Biss.
