Ten years after e-card maker JibJab went viral with a presidential parody, brothers Gregg and Evan Spiridellis are tackling a different trend: GIFs.

Less than two weeks old, JibJab Messages provides templates for users to add themselves or friends to wacky animated GIFs, shareable via text, email, and social media.

Just take a selfie (or choose from your photo library to add the faces of family, friends, or pets), then adjust it for the perfect fit—whether your head is round, pointy, or topped with furry ears.

The app also includes an option to allow friends with JibJab Messages to access your saved faces for use in their own GIF-making process. Choose wisely, or your likeness may end up in some uncomfortable animated situations.

The real fun begins, though, once you begin scrolling through the seemingly endless supply of GIFs. While most integrate your chosen face (like the Love Actually-inspired dancing scene below), others feature cultural icons, famous characters, and popular memes.

JibJab Messages

Filter the options by type—GIFs, GIFs "Starring You," or Stickers "Starring You"—and category—everything from trending and awkward to hungry and sad, as well as "wtf" and more.

Tap any image once to edit and add text; two taps will save the GIF as a favorite for easy access. Once your masterpiece is complete, publish it, save it to your photo library, or just start all over again.

First-time users earn 10 free shares, after which you will have to pay to post GIFs online.

The free JibJab Messages is currently available on iOS.
