Finally, a smartwatch worthy of a Kardashian: Samsung and Swarovski this week announced a crystal-encrusted Gear S Strap, available exclusively for the new Gear S wearable.

The latest addition to the "Swarovski for Samsung" collection, the lavish band is adorned with Crystal Fine Mesh, which integrates crystals directly into the strap's curved design.

"One of the key aspects in wearable devices is providing diverse options for consumers to freely express their own taste and style," Younghee Lee, Samsung's executive vice president of IT and mobile global marketing, said in a statement.

"Our ongoing collaboration with Swarovski, as demonstrated in the new Gear S Strap, allows us to stay ahead of trends and on the cutting edge of design and style," she added.

Samsung unveiled its Tizen-based Gear S watch last week, with a 2-inch, 360-by-480 Super AMOLED display and a 1GHz dual-core processor, as well as 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage.

With support for 2G, 3G, Bluetooth 4.1, and 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, the wearable can tap into Samsung Gear Apps, and works with the Samsung Gear Circle—a necklace-like device that acts as a combination Bluetooth headset and earphones.

Once connected to a smartphone, the Circle drapes around a user's neck, then vibrates to signal incoming messages and allows you to take calls.

Both devices and the new Swarovski-laced band are slated to arrive in October, though pricing has not been revealed. Consumers can expect more details from this week's IFA trade show in Berlin.

"Samsung and Swarovski share a commitment to bringing high-quality, highly desirable products to the consumer market," said Christoph Kargruber, Swarovski executive vice president of global marketing. "Together we will continue to write the success story we began with the 'Swarovski for Samsung' collection."

The collaboration began in March, when Samsung launched an exclusive selection of Swarovski crystal accessories for the Galaxy S5 and Gear Fit .
