You experienced your first brush with Angry Birds for free on your iPhone.

Then you upgraded to the ad-free iPhone app for $0.99, followed by the Angry Birds iPad app for $1.99, and of course, the Angry Birds Christmas ringtone for another $1.99.

Now, for a limited-time offer of $4.99, you can buy the best-selling paid app at the new Mac App Store: Angry Birds For Mac.

The game adapts the best-selling app of 2010 to a bigger screen, with new graphics and features not included in the mobile version, Rovio said in its product description. The mouse, obviously, replaces the swipe.

Apparently the app's price could go up to $9.99, as its product description advertises an "introductory" offer of "50 percent off for a limited time only."

To play the 39.4 MB file of Angry Birds fun, you'll need a computer running Mac OS X 10.6.6.6 or later.

Yesterday Rovio also released PC and netbook versions of the Angry Birds game, downloadable via Intel's AppUp Center. The Windows-supported game is also priced at $4.99 for a limited time.

This morning Business Insider made an early tabulation of the 10 bestselling Mac Apps. Angry Birds topped the list, followed by Chopper 2, a helicopter game, and iPhoto.
