The unofficial—or official, depending on who you ask—start to the holiday shopping season has begun. At this very moment, some folks may already be standing in line at their favorite brick-and-mortar store. Target, Walmart, and other retailers are opening their doors earlier than ever for Black Friday (12:00AM!). Yes, the frenzy has begun. According to a survey by the Retail Industry Leaders Association, one third of consumers will begin their shopping over this holiday weekend and "one out of four intend to get started on Black Friday."

So, what are folks on the hunt for this holiday season? In a poll conducted by Consumer Reports, 17% of the respondents said the Apple iPad was at the top of their lists.
