As noted earlier, Verizon has apparently seen the light on Windows Phone 7 and will be offering up devices soon. How soon? "Early" 2011, according to a Verizon pamphlet leaked to Engadget, which reveals the HTC Trophy as Verizon's first Windows Phone.

Ostensibly aimed at Microsoft employees, the pamphlet promises a $100 credit for current Verizon customers if they buy an HTC Trophy for $199.99 at launch, sometime early next year. The Trophy, the vanilla cone of the Windows Phone 7 lineup, has pretty standard smartphone fare: a 3.8-inch WVGA touch screen, a camera that shoots 5-megapixel stills and 720p video, and 16GB of memory. It's a quad-band phone, so it should work on phone networks in most parts of the world.

Taking the pamphlet at face value, the idea of Verizon offering up Windows Phone 7 devices is looking more like a probability than a possibility. If the lack of Verizon service was keeping you from considering a Windows phone, that barrier may soon be eliminated. Will the iPhone soon follow?
