Facebook overtook MySpace as the social network, thanks in part to a streamlined interface that emphasizes communication over maximizing personal expression. The choice of emphasis let the service easily create an iPhone app without sacrificing the overall look and feel that made the original service so popular. But this first version is a little too basic, especially since it fails to take advantage of the iPhone's built-in GPS capabilities to help you locate your Facebook friends when you're on the go.
