The HTC Desire 530 is an affordable MetroPCS phone with a decent camera, but it's held back by slow performance and a dim screen.

The HTC Desire 530 has a unique speckled white polycarbonate back with black accents and an attachment for a carrying strap.

Display

The 5-inch, 720p display on the front is relatively sharp, but it's also dim and doesn't have the best viewing angles.

Apps

There's a fair number of MetroPCS and other bloatware pre-installed on the phone.

The 8-megapixel rear camera takes clear shots with warm color reproduction.

Bottom

There's an off-center microUSB charging port on the bottom.

On the right side you'll find the volume rocker with a ridged, bright orange power button below.
