In a market crowded with premium phablets like the Apple iPhone 6s Plus, the Google Nexus 6P, and the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, the LG V10 ($699.99; 64GB) stands out by offering expandable storage, a removable battery, and a handy secondary display you won't find anywhere else. It's also one of the best camera phones you can buy. It's a much better option than the LG G4, but lackluster battery life and excessive bloatware hold it back from true star status. The iPhone 6s Plus and the Nexus 6P remain our top choices on AT&T, but the LG V10 is a solid alternative if you're focused on photography.

Design and Features

The V10 measures 6.28 by 3.12 by 0.34 inches (HWD) and weighs 6.77 ounces, making it rather large, even for a phablet. It's noticeably bigger than the Galaxy Note 5 (6.0 by 3.0 by 0.3 inches, 6.0 ounces) and the Nexus 6P (6.27 by 3.06 by 0.29 inches, 6.28 ounces), and about on par with the iPhone 6s Plus (6.23 by 3.07 by 0.29 inches; 6.77 ounces). The thing about phablets is that they are largely a matter of personal preference. I love them, but if you want to use your phone with one hand, the V10 isn't for you.
