The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (for PC)

Sailing is a new method of travel in The Witcher 3. The continent in the game is absolutely massive, and new methods of travel make traversing the world a bit less overwhelming.

Geralt's mare, Roach, is his silent and steadfast companion during his adventures in The Witcher novels. The Witcher 3 is the first time players can mount a horse of their own and explore the world.

Not only can Geralt speak with NPCs throughout the world to take jobs, he can also look over the local billboard to see if there are any bounties or tasks that he can undertake.

Vesemir is Geralt's mentor. He is the oldest of the witchers in Kaer Mohren, and serves as a father figure to Geralt. He accompanies Geralt on his journey to find Yennefer.

Cirilla of Cintra is the focus of the plot in The Witcher 3. Geralt is tasked with finding Ciri, a young woman with innate and potent magical powers. Ciri's fate is tied to the world, and the Nilfgaard Empire desperately seeks her.

Combat is much more fluid in The Witcher 3. Geralt can easily sidestep and evade enemies while remaining in the fray, allowing for much more dynamic fighting. Here Geralt casts the Igni sign on a hapless bandit.

The superstitious, Old-World fantasy in The Witcher series greatly contributes to the atmosphere of the game. Cannibalism, witchcraft and sacrifice are as abundant as the elves and dwarves that litter the taverns in The Witcher 3.
