A handful of Microsoft employees (or their family and friends) are looking to make a few extra bucks by selling their exclusive white and silver Xbox One gaming console—a Microsoft freebie gifted to workers in August.

Ten white versions of the machine have appeared on eBay, available for upwards of $3,500 from nine different sellers.

The bundle, handed out to Redmond's employees for free ahead of the public Xbox One launch, comes with a white controller, black Kinect sensor, and one year of Xbox Live. The front of the machine also reads: "I Made This."

The not-sold-in-stores collectible initially prompted requests for Microsoft to market a white version. Redmond didn't take heed, but some enterprising employees appeared to be listening. EBay listing prices vary, ranging from $1,800 to $3,566—about three to seven times the console's commercial price of $500.

Four of the exclusive boxes also offer bidding options, though as of press time, no offers had been entered. Interested gamers should place their bids soon; all four auctions end before March 30.

The deal is limited to U.S. residents only.

Microsoft did not immediately respond to PCMag's request for comment.

The next-generation Xbox launched in November, selling more than one million consoles in its first 24 hours. But Sony's PlayStation 4, which hit shelves at the same time as its competitor, managed to eke out Redmond's machine in terms of sales. According to recent data from the NPD Group, the cheaper PS4 was the best-selling console in the U.S. in February, narrowly beating Microsoft's Xbox One .

Microsoft could get a boost from international sales, thanks to a major expansion in September, when the Xbox One will arrive in 26 more countries.
