Pros & Cons

Major League Baseball 2K5 Specs

ESRB Rating: E for Everybody
Genre: Sports
Platform: PlayStation 2
Platform: Xbox

MLB 2K5 for Microsoft Xbox is the best-looking game in this roundup, thanks to excellent player models and fluid player animation. The ESPN presentation style enhances game play with appropriate commentary and replays. Base-running controls let you control a single runner or all runners, and in the new Baseburner mode, you execute precise control when leading off, stealing, or dashing back to the base. Also new this year is K Zone Pitching: You target pitches with pinpoint accuracy, using a crosshair interface. Other modes are the In Your Face speed mode, Home Run Derby, Franchise, and GM Career, which gives you greater control over a team's finances. And the soundtrack can be customized with songs from your Xbox hard drive. (For Sony PlayStation 2 and Xbox.)
