Pros & Cons

Logitech's newest desktop set comes with a USB RF docking station that does triple duty as a receiver for both the cordless mouse and keyboard and as a charger for the mouse. The included mouse is the Logitech MX1000, which received our Editors' Choice (http://go.pcmag.com/mx1000 10/5/2004); it's a right-hand laser mouse with a beautifully molded design and a generous assortment of programmable buttons. Because of its deep thumb groove, it's especially easy to pick up and reposition. The keyboard has some interesting media keys, such as the two for indicating your IM status and one for calling up a webcam. The media keys are small, though, which is odd given the extra space at the top of the keyboard.
