Lenovo's ThinkPad 25 Anniversary Edition laptop is a collector's item that whimsically combines the past and the present with a retro design and modern hardware.

Front

The ThinkPad 25 Anniversary Edition is a retro take on the traditional T-Series ThinkPad laptop.

Profile

It looks like a modern ThinkPad at first glance, but look closer for retro cues.

Right

Like the recent Thinkpad T470, this model has a full set of ports, including Ethernet, HDMI, USB-C/Thunderbolt 3, and USB 3.0.

Closing

Look closer, and you'll notice the retro red, blue, and green ThinkPad logo. as well as the signature blue Enter key.

Keyboard

The keyboard is visually similar to the '90s version, but there are modern, backlit key switches underneath.

The 25th anniversary edition chassis matches the ThinkPad T470 in both physical dimensions at 0.79 by 13.25 by 9.15 inches (HWD) and weight (3.73 pounds).

Open

Like the T470, the system opens to a full 180 degrees. Try that with your 1990s-era ThinkPad, and it'll snap.

Top Row

Old-school volume and mute buttons are above the top row of F1 to F12 keys.

Floating

The first ThinkPad 700c had a 10.4-inch LCD display, the largest available in 1992. This one has a 14-inch full HD touch screen.

ThinkPad Logo

There's no IBM logo, but the colors match.
