Asus Tablet 600
The Asus Tablet 600, shown on display here at Nvidia's Computex booth, is the first announced tablet to use the Windows RT operating system, and reportedly the only one at the trade show in Taipei.
A Look at Windows RT
The Asus Tablet 600 runs on Windows RT, a version of Microsoft's flagship operating system optimized specifically for ARM
Tablet Close-Up
This close-up look at the Tablet 600 shows an operating system that looks astonishingly similar to Windows 8, and offers nearly identical functionality (and presumably performance, though we couldn't test that ourselves) to its x86 counterpart.
Tablet 600 Specs
We might not have been able to play with the Tablet 600, but Nvidia helpfully played a video above the display case that advertised its amenities.
Nvidia Booth
We came across the Asus Tablet 600 in Nvidia's booth in the Nangang Exhibition Center. Like most big companies' booths, it was spacious and offered lots of different nooks and crannies in which products and activities could be discovered.
The Tank
This is a model of the Tank, one of the "characters" Nvidia has previously used to define its lines of graphics cards. The Tank represents the company's most powerful cards, such as the GTX 580 (of the last generation) or the GTX 680 (of the current generation).
Nvidia Stage
Built into one corner of the Nvidia booth was a stage that let various company reps make announcements and other public appearances. Here, two enterprising gamers demonstrate the capability of Nvidia's GPUs.
Nvidia's Own Butterfly
It wouldn't be a Computex booth without a showgirl, and the one stationed outside Nvidia's booth was one of the more interesting we saw, dressed in this positively Ziegfeldian butterly costume.
