  • Genre: Platformer
  • ESRB: E for Everyone

Kirby Super Star Ultra is more than just a remake of the classic Super Nintendo game Kirby Super Star. It's an upgrade. The DS version adds new game modes (some with touch-screen support), new FMV cut scenes, and multiplayer support via the DS's wireless function. Most of the game modes fall into the category of side-scrolling platformer; Kirby's adventures in eating his enemies to gain their powers are hardly groundbreaking, but younger or new gamers will find this a good entry into the genre. Experienced players should be wary, though—game play with the little pink guy might be too easy to keep them entertained.
