Spotify (for iPad) : What's New?
When you open the app for the first time, you're served with Spotify's What's New tab. The top carousel is visually appealing, though I never understood how my pop and hip hop heavy playlist led them to recommend John Denver's album, Poems, Prayers, and Promises.
Spotify (for iPad) : Search
Spotify for iPad revamps the traditional green and black interface for lots of whites and greys. You can search by artist, album, or user, from more than 15 million tracks in Spotify's arsenal.
Spotify (for iPad) : Adding Tracks
Spotify Premium members can save thousands of tracks for offline listening. Syncing to play offline is as simple as a flip of a switch, and as fast as your Internet connection.
Spotify (for iPad) : Facebook
Facebook is deeply integrated into Spotify, to the extent where new users have to connect through their Facebook accounts. This shares the music you're listening to with all your Facebook friends, though of course, you can opt not to share. From the app you can also tap a Facebook friend to access their public playlists.
Spotify (for iPad) : Retina-ready
Spotify really milked the iPad's stunning Retina display, making album cover art look stunning.
Spotify (for iPad) : Lockscreen
When your iPad goes into lockscreen mode, the app overwrites your wallpaper with album art for whatever song you're playing.
Spotify (for iPad) : Inbox
You can send music to another Spotify user directly, by messaging them through Spotify Inbox. More of a power user feature.
