By now, you have probably noticed some changes to PCMag.com. We make improvements on the site all the time of course, but this latest round is pretty dramatic, and I want to explain our thought process and call out a few of the people who made these improvements possible.

I want to be clear: every change we made was done to serve our mission, a mission that has been unchanged since long before my tenure.

PCMag.com is a leading authority on technology, delivering Labs-based, independent reviews of the latest products and services. Our expert industry analysis and practical solutions help you make better buying decisions and get more from technology.

Easier said than done, but today, we are pursuing this mission with three major changes to the site.

New PCMag.com Home Page
Web design is constantly changing and PCMag.com's home page needs to keep up. Come to the PCMag.com now and you will see a quickly scannable collection of the day's top stories and a collection of features illustrated with much larger images. We also optimized the page for tablet reading, allowing you to scroll down the page to find the stories you want. Note, we are still offering a custom experience for the mobile phone since one design simply does not fit all screen sizes.

New Universal Navigation
Perhaps even more important than our home page changes are the improvements to the global navigation. We test more than 2,000 products every year in our Labs. Organizing those reviews and making them easy for you to find isn't easy. From our new Global Nav, you can get to any product category in two clicks.

New CES Landing Page
Finally, most of the PCMag staff is in Las Vegas this week covering the Consumer Electronics Show. While we are there we will create hundreds of stories and dozens of videos. You can follow along at our new CES landing page, which is loaded with tools for sharing these pages with your friends and family.

A lot of talented people worked very hard to make these changes happened. PCMag's Creative Director Cynthia Passanante created the initial designs just days before going on maternity leave. (Today, is her first day back!) Designer James Jacobsen took an initial design and managed to create a design that is uniquely his own, and satisfied many, many other people. Our development team, including Swetha Lingala, Adam Boritz, Matt Downs and many others worked through the holidays to hit this launch date. Finally, it is safe to say none of these improvements would have happened without the tireless effort of Yun Tsai, our Senior Product Manager.

We're pretty psyched about the changes we made today, but we aren't done yet. In the coming months we will continue to evolve and improve the site.

But what do you think? Let us know in the comments section.
