Marriott Hotels and Netflix have partnered to make guests feel more at home.

Folks staying at select Marriott Hotels can now sign into an existing Netflix account, or subscribe to the service via an app on the hotel's Internet-connected guest room TVs.

Sure, a mobile device will do the trick while you're away from the living-room big screen. But why stream Daredevil fight scenes on a 5-inch display when you can prop up the extra pillows and watch the heroics on a flat screen?

"Because consumers are choosing to take their streaming content with them when they travel, Marriott Hotels is making the industry's first rollout of Netflix a priority," Matthew Carroll, vice president of Marriott Hotels brand management, said in a statement.

The first hotel brand authorized to offer direct access to Netflix accounts, Marriott has already rolled out the service to six properties: New York East Side, San Jose, Princeton, Newport, Dallas/Fort Worth, and Bethesda.

Six more—Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Atlanta, Dayton, San Juan, and Anaheim—are set to launch this summer. The company hopes to expand Netflix to 100 hotels by the end of the year, and nearly all of its 300-plus U.S. properties by late 2016.

Connected Traveler"Our members tell us they want to watch Netflix anytime, in any place where they have an Internet connection," said Bill Holmes, global head of Netflix business development. "Through our partnership with Marriott, they'll get to watch their favorite movies, TV shows and Netflix originals on big screens just like they do at home."

Guests staying multiple nights have to log in only once, and all account information is automatically wiped clean upon checkout.

"Our collaboration with Netflix responds to changing consumer preferences in the way our guests access and watch content, while recognizing the leading role Netflix is playing in driving this transformation," Carroll said.

The news comes just days before the streaming service kicks off season three of its popular Orange Is the New Black prison drama, which returns on Friday, June 12.
