Buying Guide: Mod World (v25n6)

pico-Cluster

Good things come in small packages. So reader Jeffrey Stephenson created the pico-Cluster. It's a three-node cluster with a 50-watt AT power supply and a five-port switch—like three computers all within a 6-inch cube. "It has 21 LEDs that put on quite a light show when it's calculating pi to eight billion places," Jeffrey says. The pico-Cluster also has a fanless CPU and a CompactFlash hard drive.
