This latest version of the venerable soccer franchise is a bit different than in years past, but still enjoyable. Gone are the days of "kick and chase" video game soccer. To win at FIFA 08, you are going to need skill and strategy, as if you were playing real soccer. In particular, we really like the new "Be a Pro" mode where you control just one player on the team and really have to play that particular position. Our only knock might be that the announcers can become a bit annoying because of repetitiveness, especially if you play a whole season. Other than that, we'd have to say this is the best soccer game on the market…right now.
