Zvox SoundBase 570

The SoundBase 570 is notably thicker and chunkier than most other speaker slabs, measuring 3.5 by 30 by 14.5 inches (HWD) and weighing 19 pounds.

The remote is a chunky credit card-shaped controller with clearly marked membrane buttons. The basic Power, Input, Mute, and Volume Up/Down controls are here, along with individual Bass and Treble Up/Down buttons, Surround and Output Leveling controls, and a toggle button for the Accuvoice feature.

The back of the SoundBase 570 holds a generous suite of audio inputs, though no HDMI ports. It features optical, coaxial, and two sets of stereo RCA inputs, along with subwoofer and stereo outputs.

The top, bottom, and sides are solid medium-density fiberboard (MDF) with a thick matte lacquer coating, the same material used in many loudspeakers. It's notably heavier and more sturdy than the metal or plastic enclosures of many soundbars and sound slabs.
